I chose to view this blog to see what they thought art might be.
1. The person shares a site that has all these art and it's called VVORK and describes how he/she thinks is art. He/she takes some pictures that VVORK has and says how it has "electrifying sense of originality and spirit" which may relate to emotions being described what makes it art.
2. It has evidence that contains pictures.
3. I guess it makes it look unique that make the person think is art. It has unusual things people may not often see. Like a square clock hanging on the wall but is broken. And a bunch of televisions that shows a mouth chewing bubble gum.
4. Art was described to be electrifying and spirit. I know for sure it has to do with emotions.
5. I did not think the response to what is art is effective. It was a short comment and it had mostly pictures of art pieces but did not describe how it seems to be art. All it said was how exciting it was and basically makes emotion.
6. I think at this point art, does not have to be in museums. Because in the pictures, it shows the art kept in places that were wide spaces and something a museum would look like. I think art is anywhere and anytime.

Blog Post #2 Response
This looks either a painting or made digitally. It's a picture of a man's back turned with a sign that says, "The end is over." It's different how I thought art is. I know not all art is about fashion. It looks dark, eerie in a way. My perspective in art is mostly beauty but this man shows a hint of sadness and the words, it automatically makes me think. What end is over? It should mean the world maybe? Society? But it did say the end is over, so it must mean something good, because endings can be bad. I'm a bit torn between something, I do think art is beautiful but there are ones that does not look so beautiful. In the eyes, maybe but I still think art is beautiful. When I took the poll, what is "Not-Art?" and saw the results many people took, it appealed to me that most of the people voted that art must evoke an emotion. The poll's questions were not entirely true in this picture. It wasn't expensive, nor held at the museum. And I thought it seemed true that it must have something with emotions that expresses art and I think that's one of what art is and it should have emotions.
This is Art (To me)
This picture has some photography in it as well as showing the effects with the flowers, the model and her make-up. What stands out the most to me is the clothes. The main focus should be the clothes. Without the outfit, it probably would not go well with the whole thing the picture contains. I have always thought fashion is art because I think that it's expressive in many ways that express people's thoughts and feelings so they can wear it to show it and it can be real. Clothes can be designed and be made real. It can be made uniquely, like the picture. It's different from what we usually wear that it's rare. The picture shows beauty also, and I think art is beautiful.
Argument Collages Artist Statement
1. I made a collage based on the three arguments I came up with that has to do with Proposition On my first argument I wrote that cruel meat could make you sick. I had a woman look like she’s thinking and had a thought bubble that I put a picture of a caged pig and asking, “Can cruel meat make me sick?” It’s pretty much a simple picture. Everything is white on the background; it’s just the woman and her food. She has the meat in front of her and she wonders where the meat came from and if it came from a farm that abuses animals. I want people to do the same thing and also wonder what kind of meat they are eating, if it’s really safe to eat.
2. Doing the first argument collage was pretty much easy. I made the picture taller enough for the thought bubble to fit. Everything is layered for the pictures to blend and go well with each other. There was no actual meat that came with the picture of the lady thinking so I had to look for a picture of a steak. I had pictures of the pig in the thought bubble and used layer mask. I used a big bold text to make it seem more like an ad and I thought it might be catchy. The same goes for the second collage; I just cut and pasted chickens and chicks. And some of them may be identical. I also used the speech bubbles to really make it easier to say what my argument is. I had the farm in the background; I had the farmer there and the chicks and chickens free in the open space. My collages are plainly simple. I didn’t use anything special, mostly layer masking and layering the image. Lastly I put the animals close to each other in one whole image. Like Ted’s campaign ad that he showed us with Obama and it had all these smoky effects with two other people I can’t seem to remember whom and the were all blended together. I used that and I had the animals coming together, layer masking it and using the brush that seemed blurry to make it look blended.
3. I didn’t seem to make any changes. At least two of the image I made, the 1st and 2nd argument were similar because it had thought and speech bubbles. They seemed plain. But I’m very satisfied with my work. I thought that the 1st argument looked more like an ad I would see anywhere. The white background and the big black text. It may seem plain but I like how it looks catchy and it gives out the message “Can cruel meat make me sick?” and it seems likely people will want to read it and think for themselves about meat. Especially the effect on the image of a pig in her thought bubble. I made the 3rd argument a whole lot different. Because I didn’t just cut and paste the images, I made the blend. It had that dramatic effect with the animals to feel sympathy. And it had “Save us” on the picture, which shows a sympathy feeling in it. I thought that the second image was a bit more humorous, because it had the farm chickens talking saying “Cage-free” and the farmer happy. I think I would have changed that image, because it doesn’t really show how it benefits the farmers it just says it. Everything seemed rushed, because I really needed to finish the work and I’ve been very behind. Overall I’m satisfied with what I made and I don’t think I was to ever change it. Maybe a little.

Troy Davis Article Response
1. The people who were found involved in the Troy Davis Case were Officer Mark Allen Macphail who was shot, a homeless man found beaten by Mcphain, and witnesses who were Sylvester “Redd” Coles who happened to be there with Davis in the parking lot and Stephen Sanders who claimed that he saw Davis shot Mcphain.
2. When Davis was arrested, there was too much evidence that he didn’t do it that may not be able to lead him to execution. But was decided that he was guilty and sentenced him to death.
3. It took place in Savannah, Georgia in a Burger King parking lot.
4. Davis is still incarcerated because there’s no proof he really killed Mcphain.
5. Davis’ case exemplify against capital punishment is death penalty.

Reflection: My Campaign Ad
What I got out of the campaign ads was I took the colors; red, white and blue. I had to make it as an American theme and something I want to make with. I decided to make a muffin with fireworks and flag on the background instead of showing people running for president. I thought that it was random that i chose a muffin. I was probably just hungry.
I used Photoshop to make my piece. I wasn't very good at using it but it turned out good. I had some help with it too! The tools I used was I think the stamper, to cover the text in the picture I used. I also Layer Masked it to make the picture blend together.
One picture was with the fireworks and a muffin with a flag I liked put the fireworks in there and it seemed to fit the American theme with the 4th of July when they have fireworks. One had different fireworks it also looked nice with a different kind. The other is just a plain chocolate muffin, I liked because you see more of the deliciousness of the muffin.

Webbies~!!!!!!!
1. I thought that PostSecret was successful because I thought it builds a community. Having people share their secret and out on the public sometimes touches you and it's interesting.
2.I think it was nominated because a lot of people post their secrets and a lot goes in there and checks it out.
3. It's pretty cool because people send out their secret and it comes with pictures and art, which makes it affective.
4. They make a really good connection with the audience because everyone contributes to giving their secrets out and sharing with other people.
5.I guess i would use their site as something i could create art with since they have a lot of that with the secrets they put in.

What is a Blog??- Article Response
1. Something that stood out to me about the article was that you could use blogging to talk about a topic and tell almost anything about what you think. And that you can share whatever with people all over.
2. Jarret says that blogs are published documents, and can be shared with anything about anyone 's comments.
3. I guess blogs are different from a web page because it's a person's comment, and people just go in there and take a look. there's probably not much of a comment that you can put in there.
4. Blogging have to do with empowerment because you can talk about an issue and if there are enough information and facts that defends what you think, it's less likely people will agree to what you think about.
5. Blogging have to do with relationships because you can share and discuss each others beliefs and thoughts about a certain topic.
